Nancy (Tessman) Novack, 56, of Plainville transitioned into eternal peace on April 6, 2017, leaving behind her husband, Bob Novack of Plainville and son, Michael Serrano of Southington.

A graduate of Pulaski High School, Nancy lived most of her life in New Britain and Plainville. One of Nancy’s passions in life was bringing food to the homeless. She spent endless hours making sandwiches or bringing plates of food to the homeless in New Britain and Plainville. She also had a love for flowers and loved spending time outside planting and sharing her plants with others. Of course, she was well known for her cheese cakes or banana bread which so many enjoyed.

Nancy was predeceased by her mother, Betty Tessman, her dad, Robert Tessman and a brother, Edward Tessman.

A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017, at the New Life Fellowship Church, 1 Northwest Drive, Plainville. Calling hours will be from 11 to 11:30 a.m. at the Church. The family would like to thank all who supported her throughout the past 10 months. Your gifts, kind words and prayers helped Nancy get through this very difficult time. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the local food pantry or a homeless shelter.
