Marie (Lowe) Nogiec, 97, of Newington, widow of Paul Nogiec, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017, at Jefferson House in Newington. Born in Deer Isle, Maine, Marie was a New Britain resident most of her life, moving to Newington from 2003. She was employed at Fafnir Bearing Company in New Britain for over 30 years until retiring in 1982. Marie was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in New Britain; was a member of the Altar Guild, St. Elizabeth’s Guild, and was a Lector and Greeter at the church. She was also a member of Daughters of the King and the Fafnir Seniors.

Surviving are two sons, Robert Nogiec and his wife, Evelyn, of Berlin; and Alan Nogiec and his wife, Jane, of Windsor, Va.; three grandsons, Seth Nogiec of Chesapeake, Va.; Jason Nogiec and his wife, Caralyn, of Kensington; and Adam Nogiec and his wife, Rosalie, of Glastonbury; and six great-grandchildren, Taylor, Sean, Brynn, Madelyn, Lillian and Josephine.

Funeral services are Saturday, April 22, 10 a.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 147 W. Main St., New Britain, CT 06051. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday 5 to 7 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.
