Krystyna (Nierodzik) Sakowicz, 78, of Farmington passed away peacefully on Monday, April, 17, 2017, in the comfort of home surrounded by her family. She was born in Poland and worked as a pathologist there until 1996 when she immigrated to the United States. She was a parishioner of Holy Cross Church and belonged to their Rosary Society and Chor Mlodych Serc (Choir of Young Hearts). Krystyna had the most immaculate garden of flowers. Her yard bloomed with colors that radiated her beautiful personality. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Left to mourn her passing is her husband, Eugeniusz; her children, Beata Tanski and Krzysztof Sakowicz and his wife, Ewa; her precious granddaughters, Carolyn Tanski and Magda Rutkowski and her adored great-granddaughter, Julia Rutkowski.

Funeral services will begin Thursday, April 20 at 8:30 a.m. at the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church. She will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday, April 19 (TODAY) from 5 to 9 p.m. at Burritt Hill.
