Ross Bradley Ellison, “Brad,” 51, of New Britain, passed away, surrounded by love, on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at the Hospital of Central Connecticut. He tried his best, but lost his battle with cancer.

Brad was born in New Britain and was the son of the late Shirley (Overstrom) Ellison and Ross Brian Ellison. Brad graduated from E.C. Goodwin Technical School and was employed by Apple Rehab Farmington Valley for many years. He enjoyed all types of music, playing his guitar and painting. Recently, he was a member of a rock band, and loved jamming with the guys. Brad is survived by his close friends, William Forgione and Pamela Tynik. In addition, he is survived by his aunt, Marsha Overstrom; a brother Michael Ringo; nieces, Samantha Ringo and Liane Ringo; a great-niece, Sophia; and many friends whom he considered family, especially Chris and Roy Roccapriore. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, David Ringo.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at 9 a.m. from the New Britain Memorial -- Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 195 S Main St.; burial will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, all in New Britain. A time of visitation at the funeral home is from 9-10:30 a.m. prior to departure for church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., Rocky Hill, CT 06067. His family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Chang, his staff and the wonderful nurses and staff of Hospice at the Hospital of Central Connecticut. Brad will forever be remembered for his empathetic heart and never-ending beautiful smile.
