Filomena Scarpello Manzo, 72, of Plainville, passed away on June 22, 2017. She was the beloved wife of Vincent Manzo Sr.
Filomena was born on Dec. 14, 1944, in Palma di Montechiaro, Sicily, a daughter of the late Angelo and Gaetana (Mancuso) Scarpello.
She was a loving and devoted wife and wonderful mother. She will be remembered as a strong and beautiful woman who guided and nurtured many family and friends through the years. Filomena enjoyed cooking for those she loved.
Filomena will be dearly missed by her beloved husband, Vincent Sr., their children; Vincent Manzo Jr., Angelo Manzo and his wife Catherine, Tania Manzo and Natale Manzo. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory family in Palma di Montechiaro, Sicily, Germany and Connecticut.

A calling hour will be held from 8-9 a.m. Tuesday June 27, 2017, at New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT 06053, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 19 S. Canal Street, Plainville.
