Thomas William Kulak died at home on June 19, 2017, after a long illness. He passed away peacefully in his sleep.
Tom was born on March 24, 1979. He was predeceased by his father, Thomas Walter Kulak, and is survived by his mother, Amelia (Amy) Kulak. He also leaves his aunts, uncles and numerous cousins in both Connecticut and Rhode Island.
Tom earned a degree in computer technology and was often found using or repairing computers. He was a comic book and sports memorabilia expert and spent much time buying and selling items online.
Tom was a gentle, caring, generous man who enjoyed discovering and cooking gourmet dishes for his family and friends. He accepted and appreciated everyone and had many friends of varying beliefs, talents and cultures.
He had a way with children. Even toddlers liked communicating with him. He had a special love for his godchild, Erick Albert Garofolo. Tom was always happy when he spent time visiting and talking with Erick. Tom left his print on many hearts and will be dearly missed.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial service celebrating Tom’s life on Wednesday, June 28, at 11 a.m. The service, immediately followed by a reception, will be held at The Crystal Ballroom, 211 Farmington Ave., New Britain CT.
