Lucille Scapellati Rose died on June 22, 2017.
Born in New Britain as the seventh of eight children of Phillip and Pauline Sidoti Scapellati, she is predeceased by her parents and siblings Salvatore, Nicholas, Anthony, Philip and Frances Carpenter. Lucille leaves behind her devoted husband, Anthony; daughter, Lucinda Rose General; son, David Rose; four grandchildren, Leslie Coleman, Brian Stone, Joshua and Benjamin Rose; and great-grandchildren, Sofia and Quentin Stone.
Lucille lived her life devoted to her family, exemplified by her supportive care of her brother Philip, the love she showered on her children and grandchildren, plus her faith in and commitment to her husband Tony.
Lucille proudly graduated in 1954 from Teachers College (now Central Connecticut State University), then taught elementary school, married, raised her children and went on to follow a career path. She was the smiling voice of CATIC (Connecticut. Attorneys Title Insurance Co.) for approximately six years and then moved on to a position she was proud of and very intrigued with. Lucille served as the secretary to Chief Willis at the New Britain Police Department and retired while serving Chief Sencio. She treasured these years.
