Roger Ouellette, 73, of New Britain passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. Born in Frenchville, Maine, he was the son of the late Raoul and Jeanne (Daigle) Ouellette.

Roger was a well-known local contractor. People would call on him because of his grand skill set. He made friends with everyone because he was always willing to lend a helping hand to all including the “little ladies” who lived in his building, especially removing the snow from their cars in the winter. Almost every day he would say good morning to the girls in the office even if sometimes it was just a wave of his hand. This greeting was followed by his morning walk at Walnut Hill Park.

Roger loved all his family dearly and he will be missed by all who survive him; his two sons, Roger Jr., and his daughter, Lisa Marie Ouellette, and David Ouellette and his partner, Deena, and their daughter, Jordan; three sisters, Arline Pelletier (predeceased husband, Roland) of Plainville, Conn., Juliette and Gilles Pelletier of Canada, Yvette and Paul Michaud of Maine; one brother, Robert and Francoise Ouellette of Newington, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 15, 2017, at 10 a.m. directly at St. Joseph Church, 195 S. Main St., New Britain. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
