Robert Pawelczyk, 82, of New Britain died at home on Tuesday, July 11, 2017. He was a lifelong resident of New Britain and attended local schools. A dedicated parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in New Britain, he served as an usher there for many years. Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from New Departure as a cutter/grinder after 35 years of employment and took advantage of his pastimes of hunting and fishing and being outdoors.

Bob is survived by his brothers, George Pawelczyk and his wife, Judy, of Bristol, Tom Pawelczyk and his wife, Betty, of Berlin; his sister, Joan Pawelczyk of Farmington; his sister-in-law, Eleanor Pawelczyk of New Britain; nieces and nephew: Jennifer, Cheryl and David. Bob was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Henry Pawelczyk.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, July 15 at 10 a.m. at St. Ann’s Church, North Street, New Britain. He will be laid to rest with Military Honors in St. Mary Cemetery. To share a message of sympathy with his family, please visit us at
