Corinne (Halibozek) Livingston, 39, of Meriden passed away peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017, at her mother’s home on the lake, surrounded by loved ones after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Corinne was born in Middletown, Conn., on May 21, 1978, where she attended and graduated from Middletown High School in 1997. Corinne’s love for her family was endless; being with them is what brought her the most joy in life. Until getting sick, she was employed for the past seven years at The Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain as a unit secretary. Her absence has been missed by so many.
Sadly she leaves behind her beloved husband, Paul Livingston of Meriden, her two beautiful children who she adored more than life, Bryanna and Jayden, and her loving mother, Constance Johnson of Portland. She also leaves behind her aunt, Michelle Sherwood and her husband, Dan, of Bainbridge, N.Y.; her cousin, Larry Krpata and his wife, Michelle, of Plainville, and lastly her great aunt and god mother, Nancy Kummer of Derby. She is preceded in death by her father, Michael P. Halibozek Jr., her paternal grandparents, Michael Sr. and Florence Halibozek and her maternal grandparents, Robert and Marie Johnson. The family would like to thank all the dedicated doctors, nurses and staff at UConn Medical Center that took exceptional care of Corinne during her many stays there. They would also like to thank her dear friend Georgia Weldon. The devoted love and compassion she showed her, while caring for her in her final weeks is truly admirable and will never be forgotten. Corinne was known for her big heart and constant need to always do for others, even up until the very end. She will be sorely missed by all that were blessed enough to know her.
Calling hours are Tuesday 6 to 8 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain. A brief prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Corinne asked that contributions be made to the Bryanna and Jayden Livingston College Fund, c/o Liberty Bank, 909 N. Colony Road, Wallingford, CT 06492. Please share a memory or note of sympathy at www.carlsonfuneralhome.com .
