Helen (Krupinski) Marinelli

Helen (Krupinski) Marinelli, 92, formerly of Plainville, widow of Charles Marinelli, passed away Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, at her home in Farmington.

Born in New Britain, daughter of the late Edward and Aniela (Kulas) Krupinski, Helen was a graduate of New Britain High School, Class of 1942. She was employed as a tenant relations manager for the New Britain Housing Authority for 38 years and lived in Plainville for 57 years until moving to Farmington two years ago. Helen was a member of Holy Cross Church in New Britain and was a member of various organizations, including the Holy Cross Ladies Guild, the Polonaise Club and the VFW Auxiliary in New Britain. In Plainville, she belonged to the Plainville Senior Center, the Senior Bowling League, the Plainville Woman’s Club and Plainville AARP, where she was in charge of planning the trips for the club. She was chairperson of the Plainville Committee on Aging for 31 years. Helen enjoyed the “Cousins Dinner,” where she and all of her cousins had lunch together once a month for the last 40 years.

Surviving is a daughter, Debbie Cawley and her husband Frank of Plainville; a sister, Nellie Talbot of New Britain; a sister-in-law, Ann Krupinksi of Plainville; two granddaughters, Jennifer Grzeszczak of Bristol and Rebecca Voisine and her husband Rodney of Bristol. Helen had five grea- grandchildren, Tyler and Victoria Corriveau and Sarah, Jacob and Kathryn Voisine; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins. Besides her husband, Charles, she was predeceased by two brothers, Edward and Stanley Krupinski, and a sister, Irene Skrzyniarz.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 31 Biruta St., New Britain. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain. Calling hours are Tuesday 5-8 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Home.
