Reno Mastriani

Reno Mastriani, 77, of Southington, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, at The Summit at Plantsville. He leaves his wife Elizabeth (Beth) Peck Mastriani, just one month short of their 46th wedding anniversary.

Reno was born on July 10, 1940, in New Britain, and was the son of the late Frank and Maria (Chiodo) Mastriani.

Reno was a graduate of New Britain High School and The University of Hartford. He also served in the Air National Guard. Reno had been employed by C.D.O.T as a supervisor of data processing. He was also a parishioner of St. Dominic Church.

Besides his wife, he is survived by their son, Dan Mastriani of Southington; two sisters, Mary Cazzetta of Newington and Phyllis Pfersick and her husband Lou of Pennsylvania; along with several nieces and nephews. He will be missed especially by Lenora and Clyde LaForge and by his friends Bill Banulski of Southington and Mark Borque of Stafford Springs, who visited Reno frequently.

Reno was predeceased by a sister, Aurelia Wyka, and brother, James Mastriani, along with longtime friends Carl Balko and Carl Sgamboti.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, Sept. 7, at 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., to St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Road, for a Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
