Mary Ann (Koczera) Lange, 90, of New Britain, widow of retired New Britain Firefighter Richard Lange, passed away peacefully Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, at Jerome Home in New Britain.

A lifelong New Britain resident, Mary Ann was a graduate of New Britain High School, Class of 1944, and was employed as an office assistant at New Britain Machine Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1976. She then worked as a clerk in the New Britain Town Clerk’s Office until her full retirement in 1988. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in New Britain and was a member of the Ladies Guild at the church.

Surviving is a sister, Stephanie Kozikowski of New Britain; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Besides her husband Richard, she was predeceased by three brothers, Walter, John and Stanley Koczera; three sisters, Helen Korzun, Stella Smolleck and Dorothy LaPierre; three nephews, Michael Kukuc, Edward Kukuc Jr. and Peter Smolleck; and a grandniece, Victoria Parent.

Calling hours are Wednesday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1755 Stanley St., New Britain. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain.
