Paul Alexander Zissis, 64, of Plantsville, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017, at the Hospital of Central Connecticut at Bradley Memorial.
Paul was born in New Britain, Aug. 14, 1953, and was the son of the late Alexander Paul and Marie (Kypreos) Zissis. He worked for Davidson Specialty Food Co. as a truck driver for several years.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Priscilla (Boutote) Zissis of Plantsville; his son, Christopher Zissis and his wife Gina Friedt of Windsor; his daughter, Lindsay Zissis of San Francisco, Calif.; and his two sisters, Alexandria “Sandy” Spadaccini of New Britain and Christine Bramhall of Southington.
Funeral rites for Paul will be held Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017, at 9:30 a.m., with the procession departing at 10 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 11 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 301 W. Main St., New Britain. Committal service and final resting place will be in Quinnipiac Cemetery, Marion Avenue, Plantsville. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Directions to funeral home - I-84 east or west, exit 37 (Fienemann Road) - right off exit - one mile down on right.
A Trisagion service will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
