Anna Maria (Costanzi) Bordiere, 92, formerly of New Britain, Conn., entered into rest at Bel Air Manor on Oct. 31, 2017. Born in Rome, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Camillo and Olga Costanzi. She was proudly self employed owning her own seamstress shop back in the 1940’s and very proudly became an American citizen in June 1958.
She is survived by her four children, Carina Morton and her husband Bruce, Orlena Bordiere (OB), James Bordiere and Rosanna Bordiere Barry and her husband, Thomas; her precious and beloved grandchildren, Andrew and Alyson Martin, James Bordiere, Jayme Morton and Zack and Andrew Barry; her brother, Aldo Costanzi and his wife, Gianna, of Italy and Scott Dragoo who was like a second son to mom, and Shirley Sansone who was like a sister to Anna Maria. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Anna Maria was predeceased by her brother, Carlo Costanzi of Rome, Italy.
A Memorial Service will take place Monday Nov. 6, 2017, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Venskunas Funeral Home, 670 Stanley St., New Britain. Burial will take place at a later date. The family would like to express their gratitude and gratefulness to the staff at Bel Air Manor in Newington and the Hospice staff of Masonic Care. Anna Maria was a true family woman and will be deeply missed by her many friends and family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bel Air Manor, 256 New Britain Ave., Newington, CT.
