Ann B. (Pawlicki) Metelsky, 97, of New Britain died on Monday, Nov. 6, 2017, in the comfort of her home. She was born in New Britain on Jan. 23, 1920, to the late Walter and Frances (Belczak) Pawlicki and attended local schools. She and her family moved to Bristol for 10 years but then returned to her home town. Prior to her retirement, Ann worked in the Dietary Dept. at CCSU for 19 years. She was a member of the Legion of Mary at St. Jerome Church, the New Britain Senior Citizen Center and the AARP. Ann enjoyed making floral arrangements and decorating her home for the holidays. She especially loved cooking for her family during these special occasions. Ann was thoughtful and had a kind and generous heart and will be remembered as a wonderful mother and friend to all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Robert Metelsky and his wife, Shujun Ge, of Burlington, Conn.; a special niece, Marilynn Robinson of Plainville; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Sonia Metelsky and several nieces and nephews. Ann was predeceased by her husband, Milton (Mike) Metelsky.

Funeral services will begin Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, at 8:45 a.m. from the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, New Britain. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday, Nov. 10 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Burritt Hill.
