Lech Olszewski, 60, of New Britain, died unexpectedly at home on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017.

He was born in Poland and immigrated to the U.S. with his family in 1992. He was an outdoor sports enthusiast who enjoyed fishing, hunting, tending to his garden and pigeon farming. His love for nature, life and family never went unnoticed. Lech is survived by his wife, Stanislawa (Mateja) Olszewska; his son, Krzysztof Olszewski, and his wife, Joanna; adored granddaughter, Natalia; brothers and sisters in Poland and numerous friends, both in the U.S. and Poland.

Funeral services will begin on Wednesday, Nov. 29, at 9 a.m. from the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Cross Church at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, Nov. 28, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Burritt Hill.
