William J. Sikorski, 74, of New Britain, Conn., died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at the Jefferson House, Newington. Bill was born in Scranton, Pa., and was the son of the late Edward and Gertrude (Minich) Sikorski. He worked at Pratt & Whitney as a leadman for many years. William served his country honorably in the U.S. Army.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Rosemary (Katzbeck) Sikorski of New Britain; his two sons, William E. Sikorski and Joseph Sikorski, both of Enfield, Conn.; his brother, Anthony Sikorski and his wife, Sylvia, of Fayetteville, Pa.; his two brothers-in-law, William Bonetti of Danville, Pa., and Carl Katzbeck and his wife, Joanne, of Punta Gorda, Fla.; his sister-in-law, Barbara Probulis and her husband, Gerry, of Vernon, Conn., and his precious grandson, Nathan Reid and 10 nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth Bonetti.
A Private celebration of Mr. Sikorski’s life will be held Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017, from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, Conn. There are no calling hours. Entombment with full military honors will be held Wednesday at the columbarium of St. Mary’s Garden Mausoleum, New Britain. The American flag will be presented to Mr. Sikorski’s wife, Rosemary.
