Eugeniusz Stefanik, 89, of New Britain passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, at the Hospital of Central Connecticut. He was the son of the late Jozef and Julia (Gęsiak) Stefanik. Eugeniusz was born on Dec. 6, 1927, in Poland. He later immigrated with his late wife Adela (Kroczak) and son Richard in 1961. He had worked for Atlantic Aerospace for 23 years until his retirement in 1991. He was a generous, caring, good hearted, hard-working man who had a passion with antiques cars. He loved family and friends and was always willing to help anyone in need.

He is survived by his son, Richard and his wife, Alicia Stefanik, of Burlington, Conn. He also leaves behind two grandsons, Daniel Stefanik of Kenmore, Wash., and James Stefanik of Burlington; three sisters, Maria, Janina and Irena and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral procession will leave the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., Saturday morning at 8:45 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, New Britain. Interment will follow in the chapel at Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain, Conn.
