Moses 'Moe' Herrera

Moses “Moe” Herrera, 97, of New Britain, husband of Paula (Puente) Herrera, passed away Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017, at the Hospital of Central Connecticut. Born in Westfield, Mass., he lived in New Britain most of his life. Moses was a machinist at Fafnir Bearing Company for 30 years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of St. Mary Church in New Britain.

Besides Paula, his loving wife of 66 years, he leaves a son, Richard “Ricky” Herrera and his wife, Milagros “Blanca,” of New Britain; a grandson, Richard Herrera Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Joseph and Kaylee Jane Herrera; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are Wednesday 9 a.m. at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 544 Main St., New Britain. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday 5 to 8 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary Church.
