Angela Teresa Burgio

Angela Teresa Burgio, 50, of Berlin passed away Jan. 3, 2018 at The Hospital of Central CT in New Britain after a short illness. Born in New Britain, daughter of Corrado and Janice Burgio, she graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School and attended Briarwood College. She lived in Berlin most of her life, working at KSI computer systems in Berlin and various companies in Rocky Hill.

Angela (“Angie”or “Ang”) will be most remembered for her big heart, compassion for others and her love for and caring of animals. She was very special. She was most proud of her son Nicholas and nephew Drew. Her family especially thanks the compassionate dedicated hospital staff who cared for Angela in the Intensive Care Unit and for all their support.

In addition to her parents, Angela is survived by her son Nicholas Burgio of Berlin, her companion David Pipkin, a sister Josie, brother-in-law Andy and nephew Drew Bartolucci of East Hartland. She was pre deceased by her brother Daniel Burgio.

She also had a special friend, John Pricone of Rocky Hill; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends here as well as in Italy.

Funeral services will be Monday at 9 a.m. from Porter’s Funeral Home, 111 Chamberlain Highway, Berlin, followed by a funeral liturgy at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Church, Kensington. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Sunday (Jan. 7, 2018) from 4-6 p.m.
