Helen Pienkos

Helen (Krajewski) Pienkos, longtime resident of New Britain, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Monday, Jan. 8, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank S. Pienkos who died in 1992. Helen was born in Holyoke, Mass., to the late Walter and Eleanor (Kowalski) Krajewski and lived in Enfield before settling in New Britain. She worked in the hand tool division of Stanley Works for 25 years and was a member of the Stanley Seniors.

Helen is survived by her son, Frank A. Pienkos and his wife, Elaine, and her daughter, Linda Wrobel; her brothers, Edmund and Mitchell Krajewski; her sister-in-law, Rita Krajewski and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson, Keith Pienkos and her siblings, Stanley, Walter and Chet Krajewski and Sophie Czernicki.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church.
