Philip E. Recor, 92, of Rocky Hill, widower of Frances (Brousseau) Recor, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018, at Maple View Health & Rehab Center in Rocky Hill. Born in New Britain, son of the late Elmer and Rose (Singer) Recor, Philip lived in Bristol from 1974 to 2010, moving to Farmington until residing in Rocky Hill since 2016. A graduate of New Britain High School, Philip was a World War II U.S. Army veteran in the 10th Mountain Division and was employed at Recor Welding in New Britain and later Superior Electric.

Surviving are seven nieces and nephews, Kim Chudzik, Clifford and Timothy Mason, Rebecca, Chistopher, Robert and Mark Recor; several grandnieces and grandnephews. Besides his wife Frances, he was predeceased by two sisters and two brothers, Marjorie and June Recor, and George and Clifford “Kip” Recor; and a sister-in-law, Linda LaFland.

A Memorial service with military honors will be held Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018, 4 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held Wednesday 3 p.m. until the time of the service at Carlson Funeral Home.
