Christine E. Hybner, 89, a longtime former resident of New Britain, passed away peacefully in Chandler, Ariz., on Nov. 17, 2017. She moved to New Britain, with her husband “Iggy” in 1955, and resided here until 1996, when she and her husband moved to Arizona. A native of Germany, Christine worked for many years at Fafnir Bearing Company as an inspector. She lived an active life in New Britain taking many adult education classes and raising her family, while working.

She is predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Iggy, who passed away in 2003 and a daughter, who died shortly after birth in Germany. She is survived by two sons, Robert and Richard, both of Arizona and several nieces and nephews in New Britain and Germany.

A funeral was held for immediate family and friends at St. Steven’s Church in Chandler, Ariz., on Jan. 5. Christine was cremated and her remains were placed in an urn and interned at Our Lady of Heaven Mortuary in Mesa, Ariz. The family asks that any donations be made to The Mayo Clinic, Mayo Clinic, 200 First St. SW, Rochester, MN 55905.
