Jack Dansereau Sr.

Jack Dansereau Sr., 72, of Galivants Ferry, S.C., passed away unexpectedly Friday, Feb. 16, in South Carolina.

Husband of Joanne Owens-Dansereau, he was a former New Britain resident and had lived in South Carolina since 2011. Jack worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in Southington and Middletown and then for Tunxis Property Management and also for the New Britain Rock Cats before moving to South Carolina. He was predeceased by his first wife, Frances (Sedcieski) Dansereau, who passed away in 2004.

Besides his wife Joanne, he leaves two sons, Jack Dansereau Jr. and his wife Kelly of Middletown, and Richard Dansereau and his wife Katia of Newington; a brother, Roy Dansereau of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sisters, Jean Was of Newington and Jane Larco of Rocky Hill; three grandchildren, Alexis, Caleb and Kaley; several nieces and nephews. Besides his first wife, Frances, he was predeceased by two sisters, Marion Sperrazza and Eleanor Wysocki.

Calling hours are Thursday, March 8, 4 to 7 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain. Burial will be private.
