Paul Cloutier, 82, of New Britain, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut - New Britain campus, surrounded by his family. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Paul earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University, which guided his career as an engineer for the State of CT Judicial Branch until his retirement in 2000.  Paul proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1953-1957 during the Korean War. His civic contributions included serving as an active member of the American Legion Eddy-Glover Post 6 New Britain, where he managed the baseball team for many years. He was also a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Indians and Browns.

Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Jadwiga Wnuk-Cloutier; his daughters, Michelle Linares of New Britain and Melissa Marien and husband, Michael of Holliston, Mass.; his adored grandchildren, Serena and Riley; extended family including his niece, nephews, cousins, and friends too numerous to mention with whom many great memories were made and will forever be cherished. Paul’s family would like to sincerely thank the staff of THOCC and Hospice for their loving care and support.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, March 13 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain. Funeral services will begin at 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday, March 14 from Burritt Hill followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, New Britain. In recognition of his dedication and service to his country, Military Honors will be rendered at the Sacred Heart Cemetery Chapel after Rites of Christian Burial.
