God gave Monica Reut an early 96th birthday present and called her home on Good Friday, March 30, 2018.
Monica was born April 1, 1922, the daughter of Frances and Julian Krysztopik. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, a caring homemaker, and a wonderful mother. She lived a full life. Her strong character was matched by her deep love for her church and family.
Monica joins family in Heaven, including her husband, Emil Reut; brother, Walter Krysztopik; daughter, Katherine Korfel; son-in-law, Gary Paul; and many cousins and friends. She leaves behind, to carry on her values and celebrate her life: her son and wife, Jeffrey and Alina Reut; her daughter, Frances Paul; her son-in-law, Walter Korfel; and her sister-in-law, Bert Krysztopik, all of Kensington. She enjoyed her six grandchildren: Kimberly Korfel, Gary Paul and his wife Stephanie, and Sarah Brown, all of Kensington; Karen Korfel of Meriden, Emily Paul of Boston and Jonathan Paul of New York City. She was blessed to see and be part of the lives of her five great-grandchildren: Michela, Oliver and Henry Paul and Amelia and Nathan Brown.
Please say a prayer for her and family when joining us to celebrate Monica on Tuesday, April 3, from 4-8 p.m. at New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home 444 Farmington Ave. The funeral services will begin at 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday, April 4, at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church, followed by burial in the Chapel at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
