Stanislaw Starodaj, 62, died peacefully on April 2, 2018, at his home. He was the son of the late Stanislaw and Krystyna Starodaj. Born in Szczucin, Poland, he resided on May Street in New Britain after moving with his family to the United States in 1993.
Stanislaw was a generous and hardworking man who was always ready to lend a helping hand to his family, friends, and neighbors. He was employed at Progressive Sheet Metal in South Windsor. He was a well respected and skilled member of his profession and loved what he did. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Stanislaw leaves his wife of 33 years, Ania, his sons, Tomek of New Britain and Bartek of Kingston, N.Y., and daughter-in-law Ann, and his grandson Roman, as well as his brother, Ryszard and sister, Wanda, both of Poland.
Calling hours for Stanislaw will be held, TODAY, Wednesday, April 4, 2018, from 5 to 7 p.m. at New Britain Memorial-Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Avenue in New Britain. His funeral service will begin Thursday, April 5 at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by his Funeral Liturgy at 9:30am at Sacred Heart Church in New Britain.
