Krystyna (Rembecka) Kondracki, 79, of New Britain, died peacefully on Monday, April 2, 2018, with her son, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren by her side. She was born in Poland and attended school to become a clothing designer. While in Poland, she worked as a tailor, creating beautiful dresses and custom-made suits. She loved to tell her family the story of when she came to the U.S. in 1961 with $5.00 in a suitcase. She began living the American dream working for Corbin-Russwin and simultaneously, her motivation, will, and determination showed her true entrepreneurship in the establishment of a very successful catering business which she owned, and operated for over 35 years. Krystyna was a woman who took pride in her work. She loved cooking and made sure that everyone was always fed before herself, and no one ever went away hungry. She was a prominent businesswoman in the New Britain community and donated her time and food to those in need. Her generosity and care toward others will be genuinely missed. She is survived by her son Daniel and his wife, Ramona, and their children, Alex Cooper, and Daniel Henry Kondracki, Jr; her daughter-in-law Liz and her children, Ashley, Emily, Victoria, Isabella, and Christopher Rebecki; her daughter Alice Kondracki, and a great-granddaughter, Regan Davidson. Krystyna was predeceased by her first husband, Casimir Rebecki, her second husband, Henry Kondracki and her son, Christopher Rebecki.
