Mrs. Ann Drobnis McMenamin Reynolds

Mrs. Ann Drobnis McMenamin Reynolds died peacefully at the age of 100 on Saturday, June 30, 2018, in Sarasota, Fla. She was born to Walter and Ellen Martusis Drobnis on March 10, 1918, in New Britain, Conn.

She was baptized at St. Andrew’s Lithuanian RC Church and graduated from St. Mary’s Grade School. Ann graduated from New Britain High School and attended Bates College and graduated from Albertus Magnus College. She married Atty. Hugh J. McMenamin of Scranton, Penn., in 1941. During the 35 years she lived in Scranton, she was active in numerous volunteer organizations, principally the Visiting Nurses Association.

In 1984, she married Judge John N. Reynolds of New Haven, Conn. She lived in Hamden, Conn., for the next 30 years.

In her later years, she resided in Eden Prairie, Minn., and Sarasota, Fla. She is survived by two sons, Hugh McMenamin (Mary Jo) of San Francisco, and Brian (Kris) of Sarasota; a granddaughter, Laura McMenamin Williams (Vesper) of Denver, Colo., and a grandson, Sean McMenamin of Lafayette Hill, Penn., as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Ella and Mary and a brother, Richard.

Private family services will be held. Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, New Britain, Conn. The Funeral home handling the cremation is Sound Choice, 4609 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota, FL 34233.
