Glenn Robert Rittner, 67, of Moosup, died peacefully in his sleep on Aug. 12, 2018. Glenn was born in New Milford, Conn., on June 22, 1951, to the late C. Robert and Jeannette (Willametz) Rittner. He was raised in New Britain and graduated from Pulaski High School in 1969. He held numerous employment, the most prominent being as a clinical aide in the field of substance abuse recovery, where his ability to support others was important to him. He was a strong advocate of the Friends of Bill W. and established many friends there who will miss him greatly. He was also a lover of music, history, and sports, being an avid fan of the Red Sox and N.Y. Giants. He is survived by his brother, David E. Rittner and his wife, Virginia H. of Massachusetts and his niece, Katherine N. Rittner of Colorado. He is also survived by very special friends, Camy Roach of Danielson and her children, Marirose Roach, Philadelphia and David Roach, U.S. Navy; and not to be overlooked, close friend, Kevin Payne of Danielson.
A private burial will be held at the familyâ€™s convenience. Rose Hill Funeral Home in Rocky Hill has care of arrangements.
