Jeanette Domuracki, 94, a lifelong resident of New Britain, passed away on Monday, Sept. 3, 2018, at the Hospital Of Central Connecticut. Born on July 11, 1924, in New Britain Jeanette was the daughter of the late Peter and Josephine (Grzybowski) Sadowski. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, Charles Domuracki, her sister, Frances Sadowski and several infant siblings.

She graduated from New Britain High School and Moody’s Secretarial School. She then began a 40-year career as an employee of the City of New Britain in the town clerk’s office, eventually becoming deputy town clerk retiring in 1984. She loved her job and the City of New Britain and took great pride in her work.

She had a great appreciation and love of life. She took a genuine interest in people, always listening, supporting and encouraging family and friends. Some of her favorite times and best memories were spent with dear friends and family at Point O’ Woods Beach in Old Lyme. She was a communicant of Holy Cross Church in New Britain, where she served as a lector and a member of the Ladies Guild and the Monday morning volunteer group. Jeanette also volunteered her time for over 17 years at the Hospital for Special Care and was a member of the Plainville AARP.

Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Lois Donnelly and her husband, James of New Britain, her grandchildren, Scott Donnelly and his wife, Amy of Torrington, and Kristin Foster and her husband, Trevor of Bristol, as well as her great-grandchildren, Cooper, Audri and Bri. Relatives and friends are invited to call on the family Friday morning, Sept. 7, 2018, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain, followed by the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church. Jeanette will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
