Joann M. Andrzejewski, 75, of West Hartford, died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018, after a long illness. She was born in New Britain, to the late John and Genevieve (Wnuk) Andrzejewski. She graduated from Avon schools.

After her graduating from St. Francis Nursing School, she worked as a nurse. She was an active parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in New Britain and a member of St. Theresa’s Ladies Guild, where she had served as past president. She is survived by her brother, Richard Andrzejewski, and his wife, Shirley, of Prince Edward Island. Joann was predeceased by her sister, Barbara (Andrzejewski) Esperanza, survived by her husband, Alfred Esperanza of Massachusetts, and many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, Sept. 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. at New Britain Memorial Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain. (Directions, Exit 37 off I-84 take a right at the exit, the funeral home is 1 ½ miles on your right.)
