Mary J. Thomas, 90, a resident of Berlin, Conn., transitioned on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018, in her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Suffragan Bishop John H. Thomas and was a member of Bethesda Apostolic Church, New Britain, Conn. She leaves to mourn her children, Marvin (Genet) James of Warner Robins, Ga., John (Michelle) Thomas and Jeffrey Thomas, both of New Britain, Annette (Gerral) Brown of Newnan, Ga., Teresa Trusty and Susan (Dale) Shaw, both of New Britain, Deborah (Rudy) DaCosta of Hartford, Conn., and Glenda (Lee) Williams of Bloomfield, Conn.

Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Thomas will be held Monday, Oct. 1, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Bethesda Apostolic Church, 249 Stanley St., New Britain, with Bishop Dale I. Shaw, Pastor, presiding. Committal service and final resting place will be in Fairview Cemetery, 120 Smalley St., New Britain. Relatives and friends may call at Bethesda Apostolic Church Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. and Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. A time to reflect on Mary’s life will be held Sunday at 6 p.m. at the Church.
