Jennie (Pilewski) Ptak

Jennie (Pilewski) Ptak, 103, of Rocky Hill, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Stanley A. Ptak, to whom she was married for 54 years. Jennie was born in New Britain, on Sept. 19, 1915, to the late Aniela (Okonowski) and Adam Pilewski. She resided in New Britain for many years before moving to Kensington, and then to Rocky Hill 19 years ago. Jennie was a longtime member of Holy Cross Church, New Britain.

A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stanley G. and Lynn H. Ptak, and granddaughters, Rebecca and Jessica Ptak, all of Rocky Hill. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Bessie Radlowski and Stella Niksa, and brothers, Casimer Pilewski, Henry Pilewski, Edward Pilewski, Stanley Pilewski, Anthony Pilewski, and Walter Pilewski. Jennie was predeceased by her granddaughter, Amanda Ptak.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, New Britain. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain.
