Jane O. Clemens

Jane O. Clemens, 92, of Berlin, Conn., joined her husband, Robert (Bob) Clemens, son, Paul and daughter, Gail in heaven on Dec. 29, 2018. Born March 8, 1926, to the late James and Theresa Flanigan Oliver of Hartford, Jane was preceded by her brother, James Oliver.

Jane leaves her children, Mark Clemens, Beth, and Peter Campanelli, Ruth and David Sturgeon, Judy and George Procko, Neal Clemens, and Dean and Donna Clemens; grandchildren, Nicole and Marco Barbagallo, Kelly and Kevin Kinney, Mitchel and Samantha Sturgeon, Jessica Sturgeon, Abigail, Haley and Megan Procko, Samantha Clemens, and Evan and Lauren Clemens; great-grandchildren, Logan and Rian Kinney, Hazel and Alyssa Vega, and Harmony Garcia; many nieces and nephews, along with dear friends Lucy, Susan, and Maureen, and many caring neighbors.

Jane graduated from Buckley High, Hartford, Conn., in 1944. Jane moved to Berlin in 1960, where she raised her eight children. Jane and Bob built their dream home in Rhode Island, where they spent many wonderful years together with family and friends. Jane developed a love for travel which took her all over the USA and beyond with her friend, Lucy.

Jane worked in the Berlin school system and later the Connecticut Lottery before retiring. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in East Berlin.

Family and friends are welcome to call on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, from 2- 5 p.m. at the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Kensington. Everyone is invited to go directly to Sacred Heart Church, 48 Cottage St., East Berlin, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 7, 2019. Burial will follow at Maple Cemetery, 1165 Worthington Ridge, Berlin.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Jane’s name.
