Ronald M. Simard, 75, of New Britain, Conn., passed away Jan. 1, 2019, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, Conn. Ronald was born in Manchester, N.H., on Aug. 24, 1942. Ronald is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia M. Simard (Cosker), one son, Joshua and his wife, Michelle, three granddaughters, Bambi Lynn, Jessica Jo, Ashley, and step-grandson, Michael Lopez, all from Westminster, Colo. He is also survived by three brothers, Maurice, Jr. and his spouse, Lucy of Connecticut, Steven and spouse, Sarah of Bellingham, Wash., Rickey and longtime partner, Robin of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and one sister, Darlene Ebersold, and spouse, Mark of Lake Worth, Fla. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ron had worked at Stanley Works for 43 years where he retired. He was an active member of the Stanley Seniors and the Hospital for Special Care Pulmonary Group. He enjoyed gardening, camping, bird watching, and photography to name a few of his interests. His educational accomplishments included Ward School of Machinery Accounting, Moody Bible Institute Certifications and former member of APICS, DPMA.
Ronald wanted his body donated to UConn Medical Center for medical research to better other lives with COPD
Memorial service to be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 296 New Britain Ave., Newington, CT 06111, on Friday, Jan. 11, 2019, at 4 p.m.
