Susan Lillian (Jacobs) Paradis, 92, of Kensington, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2019, at home with her family at her side. She was the loving and devoted wife of Raymond Paradis for 69 years. Born in New Britain, daughter of the late Sahac and the late Rose (Bagdasarian) Jacobs, she graduated from New Britain High School and was employed at American Hardware, then employed by the State of Connecticut Superior Court Judicial System #GA15 in New Britain, until her retirement in 1996. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Armenian Apostolic Church and St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in New Britain.

Throughout her life, Susan’s first priority was her family. She reveled in celebrating family events and enjoyed visits and spending time with those she loved so dearly. She will be deeply missed by all her family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by their five children, Richard Paradis of Williamsburg, Va., David and Pat Paradis of Middletown, and Estero, Florida, Robert, and Janice Paradis of Southington, Linda Paradis of Farmington, and Debra Paradis Czarnecki and her husband, Keith of Old Lyme; a brother, Armen Jacobs in Florida; a sister, Lila Winters of Plainville; her six adored grandchildren; five cherished great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. James Episcopal Church, 3 Mountain Road, Farmington, Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, at 11 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
