Helen (Marcinczyk) Elliott

Helen (Marcinczyk) Elliott, formerly of New Britain, and Berlin, Conn., died peacefully on Saturday, March 30, one week shy of her 92nd birthday. The last of her generation, Helen leaves behind two loving daughters, Nancy Oakes and her husband, Dennis of Berlin, Laura Platek and her husband, Garrett of Killingworth, grandson, Daniel Elliott Oakes of Berlin, special nephew, Gregory Steltner, and several nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Charles Elliott, and daughter, Bernadine Dube.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019, at 10 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church, New Britain. There will be no calling hours.

Helen and her family are very grateful for the care she received in her last year of life. Special thanks go out to her aides, Eune and Sharon, nurses, Heather and Stacy, all the staff at Mulberry Gardens in Plantsville, Conn., and the Vitas Hospice team that helped her through this journey. You did special work caring for our mom and it is greatly appreciated.
