Henryka (Nieradka) Zaprzala, 90, of Portland, formerly of New Britain, died on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019. She was born in Poland, to the late Piotr and Aleksandra (Kurkowska) Nieradka. Henryka was employed by Skinner Valve for many years and was a loyal parishioner of Holy Cross Church. Henryka always offered a listening ear to anyone who turned to her and was in need of her words of wisdom. She helped anyone she could. Her kind, compassionate love will be remembered by all.
She is survived by her children, John Zaprzala and wife, Linda, Andrew Zaprzala and wife, Jolanta, Maria Farineau and husband, Andrew, Jane Alicea and husband, Andrew, Anna Planeta and husband, George, and Helen Zaprzala; her 13 adored grandchildren; four cherished great-grandchildren; her sister, Emilia Tomczak; and several close nieces and nephews. Henryka was predeceased by her husband, Stefan Zaprzala and her siblings, Jan, Mieczyslaw, and Jadwiga.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, April 25, from 8:45 to 9:30 a.m. at the Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Burritt Hill, 332 Burritt St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church.
