John A. Drummond passed away Monday, Aug. 5, after a brief illness. He was born on May 27, 1966, to Norma Nielson Drummond and John Drummond, who predeceased him. John leaves his sister, Debra Nielson, and was predeceased by his wife, Nancy Drummond, and is survived by two sons, Joe Bergeron and his wife Anna, and Michael Bergeron. He leaves his long-time girlfriend, Lisa Toce, her children, and Vito. He leaves many loving aunts and uncles, including Christine Colaiacovo and her husband, Pat, Marilyn Meigs and her husband, David, Janet Drummond, and the late Ellen Nielson. John also leaves many cousins and longtime friends, including Emil Bengtson, Ellie Bengtson, and his best friend, Chris Toce, who provided so much support to John and Lisa over the past few months. John loved being at Cold Spring Brook Farm and working with Steve, Mike, Erik, and all of his farm family. The farm always held a special place in his heart. John had a great passion for cooking, making homemade wines, canning, and he loved listening to music and attending concerts with Lisa. He was a long-time APA pool player and played on many teams over the years. He was always there to help everyone and was a true friend to all who knew him. He was a quiet, kind, and gentle giant and we will forever miss him. I was your Belle Starr and you were my Jesse James. A celebration of John’s life will be held at a yet to be determined date.
