Helena T. (Koziol) Zadzilko, 91, of New Britain, died on Weds. Oct. 2, 2019.

She and her family immigrated to the U.S. in 1962, to establish a better life for themselves. Helena was a selfless woman who always put her family first and would do anything for them without a bit of hesitation. She will always be remembered as a provider, a loving wife, a nurturing mother and grandmother who loved to cook, sew, draw and plant beautiful flowers in her garden. A woman of unwavering strength, strong will, faith, love for God and family, she will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Left to mourn her passing is Waclaw, her beloved husband of 65 years; her children, Emily Pennito, John Zadzilko and partner, Mona Sullivan and Anthony Zadzilko and wife, Carol; her adored grandchildren, Karin, Amy, Brie, Michelle, Jack, Tracey and Lauren; her cherished great-grandchildren, Jude and Kai and two more blessings on the way; her sisters, Honorata Skorski and Irena Zadazecka and several nieces and nephews.

Helena was predeceased by her brother, Mieczyslaw Koziol. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thurs., Oct. 10 from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Burritt Hill, 332 Burritt St., in New Britain. A brief visitation will begin at 8:45 a.m., on Friday, Oct. 11, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church. She will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
