Florence P. Moorcroft

Florence P. Moorcroft, 92, widow of the late Robert A. Moorcroft Sr., of New Britain, passed away on Jan. 17, 2021, at her home after her battle with Alzheimer’s with family by her side. Florence was born on Feb. 10, 1928, in New Britain to the late Apolonia and Wojcrech Pacyna. She attended New Britain High School. Florence was employed by Emhart/Black & Decker and retired in 1987. She was a parishioner of Holy Cross Church, New Britain. Florence was a lifelong resident of New Britain and is where she and Robert made their home. She was a devoted wife and mother who cherished time spent with family. Florence was an avid bowler and was a member of both indoor and outdoor leagues. Florence is survived by and will be dearly missed by her children: Barbara Moorcroft, of New Britain, Irene Rowley and her husband Kevin, of Norwich, Robert Moorcroft Jr. of Bristol, Mary Becker and her husband Robert of Berlin; her grandchildren: Eric, Adam, Heather, and Robert; and her great-grandchildren: Eliza, Ramon Jr., and Zoey. Florences family would like to express their deep gratitude to Kathy, Shirley, Maria, Kim and Giovanna. A period of visitation will be held at New Britain Memorial-Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave, New Britain on Saturday Jan. 23, 2021, from 9 to 10 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 31 Biruta St, New Britain, with Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 662 Burritt St, New Britain.
