Charles (Charlie) Rozanski

Charles (Charlie) Rozanski, 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 22nd, 2021. A lifelong New Britain resident, Charlie leaves behind his wife Mary (Chasse) Rozanski. Charlie and Mary shared a marriage full of love for 66 years. They truly completed each other. Charlie served in the United States Navy, including time in Korea, where he made lifelong friends. After the Navy, he worked for many years at the Southern New England Telephone Company, retiring in 1989. Charlie was well known and loved for his easy going nature and kindness to all. He enjoyed creating music and was in several polka bands that played across the Northeast, where he played the saxophone and clarinet. In his retirement, he enjoyed corresponding with Navy and SNET friends and attending ship reunions, playing golf at Stanley Quarter Golf Course, attending his granddaughters sports games, and spending time with his family. His love, support, and jokes will be missed by all. Charlie leaves behind his four children- Michael and wife Donna Rozanski of Plainville, Ronald and wife Stefanie Rozanski of Newington, Robert Rozanski and his partner Melissa of Berlin, and Kim Rozanski and her partner John of New Britain; four grandchildren- Kristen and husband Kyle, Loren, Bryan, and Leah. He is also survived by his brother Thomas and wife Carol, sister Francis and many nieces and nephews. Charlie is predeceased by his parents Charles Sr. and Catherine Rozanski. A celebration of life will be held in the near future when his loved ones can safely gather to remember his lasting impact and to share stories of their times together.
