Cecylia (Stachowiak) Cygler, 91, of New Britain, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. She was born in New Britain to Antoni and Feliksa (Rozwadowska) Stachowiak. She spent her youth in Poland where she married the love of her life, Marian and had three sons. In 1975, she had the opportunity to return to America and start a new life with her family. Cecylia was employed by Atlantic Aerospace until her retirement. She was a devout member of Sacred Heart Church, and a member of the Sacred Heart Ladies Guild. Cecylia was an excellent cook specializing in her famous szarlotka and loved nurturing her family any chance she had. Her love for her family knew no bounds. She loved Christmas and singing koledy and gatherings always resulted in group sing-alongs, with Cecylia and her sisters leading the harmony. She was kind, thoughtful and generous and had a smile that could clear cloudy days and a sharp mind that could solve any crossword puzzle.

Cecylia is survived by her two sons, Ireneusz and his wife Anna of New Britain, with whom she resided, and Jerzy and his wife Marzena of Vero Beach, Fla. She also leaves behind grandchildren who loved their Babcia very much, Darius Cygler, Sandra Cygler and her fiancée John, Jack (Kate) Cygler, and Karl (Azure) Cygler, as well as her precious great-grandchildren Atlas, Tobiasz, Maddie and Aviva Cygler. She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Marian Cygler, her son Jacek Cygler, her sister and brother-in-law, Irena and Henryk Suski, her sister Genowefa Saba, as well as numerous relatives both here and in Poland. She will be missed by her friends in the Saturday morning club. The family is eternally grateful to Mariola who cared for her, allowing her independence and to the staff of DaVita Dialysis in New Britain for the years of excellent care.
