Stanley Dynak, 69, of Plainville passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, Sept. 5 surrounded by family after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was the beloved husband of Sophie (Andrasik) Dynak for 48 years. Born in Poland, son of the late Antoni and Genowefa Dynak, he came to the U.S. in 1964 and lived in New Jersey for several years prior to moving to New Britain with his family and settling in Plainville 34 years ago. Stanley was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, New Britain. He was a long-time employee of Stanley Works before retiring from Greenwald Industries. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone he could. He kept busy whether it was taking care of his cars, organizing, and finding projects at his sons' homes.
Along with his wife, he leaves his two sons, Marc Dynak and his wife Elzbieta of New Hartford, and Thomas Dynak and his wife Marta also of New Hartford. He also leaves four treasured grandchildren, Anthony, Alex, Nicole Dynak and Lukas Miazga; his brother Casmir and his wife Danuta Dynak of Berlin; his sisters Anna Kwapien of Farmington and Teresa and her husband Krzysztof Mizura of Plainville; brothers and sisters-in-law here and in Poland, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, Sept. 10, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Duksa Family Funeral Home at Burritt Hill, 332 Burritt St., New Britain. His funeral service will begin at the funeral home on Saturday, Sept. 11 at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, New Britain.
