Michelle (Dodier) Pasciuto

Michelle (Dodier) Pasciuto, 84, of Newington, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2021, after suffering with Multiple Sclerosis for many years. She was born in 1937 in Black Lake, Canada, to the late Joseph and Eva Rose (Loubier) Dodier.  As a young woman, Michelle enjoyed skiing, ice skating and loved playing and learning the piano. She was an operator for Bell Telephone for many years and transferred to CT where she met and married her husband Giovanni, of 59 years, in 1962. They had a long and loving marriage, with travel to family in Italy, Canada and Florida. They enjoyed many years of ballroom dancing.

She leaves behind her husband Giovanni, her daughter Kathleen Abate, and son RIchard, her sister Berthe Contaldi, nephew Daniel and his wife Nellie Contaldi, niece and godchild Lynn Fammartino, her children Nicholas and Mathew, and very special sister-in-law Fran Ritone. She was predeceased by her brother Pierre and sisters Bibiane and Anita. We are all going to miss her love and kindness forever. Special thanks to the long term care workers at Grandview in New Britain, for their care and friendship to both Michelle and her family.

 A Celebration of Michelle’s life will be held Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 158 Broad St., New Britain, CT. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in West Meadow Cemetery, 679 Willard Ave., Newington, CT. The Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT has charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 659 Tower Ave, Hartford, CT 06112.
