Halina (Lipnicki) Jerman

Halina (Lipnicki) Jerman, loving wife of Leon Jerman for almost 67 beautiful years, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 27th. She was born in 1930 in Wilno, Poland, and was 92 years young and absolutely adored by her husband, three children, seven grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. Together with the entire family she moved to the United States in 1972. They settled in New Britain, where Halina worked at Holy Cross School and later Stanley Works.

Devoted to her Catholic faith, Halina was a longtime member of Holy Cross Church and an active member of the Rosary Society for many years. She was best known as a devoted wife, loving mother, caring grandmother, and doting great-grandmother. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and devotion that will enrich her family for generations to come.

Halina is survived by her husband, Leon Jerman; her children, Lila (and Stan) Puzio, Bożena (and Gary) Guminiak, and Christopher (and Jadwiga) Jerman; her grandchildren Dorothy (and Kevin) Foster, Christopher (and Amanda) Puzio, Isabel (and Doug) Meagher, Alex (and Taylor) Guminiak, Stephanie Guminiak, Matthew (and fiancée Evelyn) Guminiak, and David Jerman; and her great-grandchildren Noah, Carolina, Gabriella, and Elijah Foster, Cody, Ty, Catherine, and John Puzio, Annabelle, Dean, and Caleb Meagher, and Grayson Guminiak, who all will miss her dearly. She was predeceased by her parents, siblings, her grandson Daniel Jerman and many close friends.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, Sept. 30, from 4 - 7 p.m. at New Britain Memorial & Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT, with a funeral  mass on Saturday, Oct. 1, at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church. Burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
