Joseph A. Pascal, 91, of Farmington and formerly of New Britain, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022. Born on April 5, 1931 in New Britain, he was the son of the late Dominic and Palma (Maleno) Pascal. A Veteran of the Korean War, Joseph proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Hartford and his MBA from Brown University.
Joe enjoyed a career that spanned 32 years as Comptroller for the former Society of Savings Bank in Hartford and Vice President of Society Mortgage Corp. in Wethersfield. He was a parishioner of St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church in New Britain, and as an avid golfer, enjoyed running their annual golf tournaments at Tunxis Golf Course in Farmington.
He was a member of the Newington Veterans Firefighters Association, and was a former member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge #957 of New Britain. He enjoyed walking, playing tennis, bowling and playing cards. Joe could often be found enjoying the company of his many friends and family going out to dinner and spending time with them at his home in Old Saybrook.
Joe is survived by his brother-in-law, Joseph Kalasky, Jr., of Farmington, his sister-in-law, Doris Pascal of Montana, and nieces and nephews residing in Connecticut, Florida and Montana. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Palma Kalasky, his brother, Leonard Pascal and his wife Betty, his brother James Pascal and his nephew James Pascal, Jr. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, Oct. 7th, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington, with funeral services after the visitation at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Committal prayers and Military Honors will follow the service at St. Mary's Cemetery, New Britain.
