To help himself get acclimated and familiar with organizations in the area, David Obezinski has scheduled a listening tour - a series of community meetings with nonprofit organizations in Berlin, New Britain, Plainville and Southington during October.
The listening tour will provide Obedzinski and local grantees and non-profit programs a chance to get to know each other. Obedzinski said he plans to briefly share with attendees his background, CFGNB’s mission, grant-making process and his vision moving forward, while grantees and other non-profits will likewise be allowed a brief opportunity to talk about their programs and how they would like to work with the Foundation in the future.
The events are targeted to current foundation grantees, local nonprofit organizations and service providers within the four towns the CFGNB serves.
